The masterplan for the Lehua urban hotel and office quarter in Xi’an, China features four landmark towers connected by a circular band enclosing a central park. The complex provides office and commercial space to the adjacent Chariots Theme Park, creating a new retail and entertainment centre in the city.
The urban design of the Hotel and Office quarter creates a new attraction centre through its relationship to the Chariots Theme Park. It consists of a 3-star family hotel, a 4-star hot spring hotel, a 5-star high rise hotel and an office tower. A single to three storey commercial base forms the perimeter of the urban block, filled with two storey shopping, restaurants and a café area, fostering a lively urban streetscape surrounding the quarter. The park is comprised of pedestrian paths, playgrounds, sport / athletic facilities, and bicycle lanes which create a fantastic green centrepiece to look down upon from the surrounding hotels and offices.
